An international standard for solid wood packing material is being developed and is the first international sanitary/phytosanitary (ISPM) to contain prescriptive treatments or techniques.
Members of the working group in attendance included representatives from the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Canada. Observers represented the U.S., El Salvador, Mexico, Canada, the European Commission and Thailand.
